Slingpin – a new way to play bowling!

Hey everyone! I just found a revolutionary way to play bowling! You don’t even need to go outside and it’s fun and free! Slingpin is my choice!

App Name: Slingpin

Platforms: Android, Windows Phone

Price: Free 😀

Download: Android, Windows Phone

Ever wondered what is the meaning of a creative, original game? Well Slingpin is one of them for sure, because there are things I’d love about it!

The point of the game is to drag a bowling ball to hit all the pins. Hitting them all would give a nice “STRIKE” text across the screen along with 3 stars for doing so. Note you can’t just spam bowling balls as they’re not unlimited!

But the problem is that you can get 3 starts only by hitting all the balls at the same time which sometimes is nearly impossible!

The game features hundreds of levels so you’ll not get bored quickly. Although those levels felt kinda short as I was able to complete the first “Chapter” in less than 10 minutes. Hope developer will add more levels in the nearest future.

When you get to play a game there is a dramatic slow-mo with zoom in as you have one pin left. I personally love this idea as it adds some style to the game, however it’s quite repetitive as when bowling ball is aimed directly at the pin…slow-mo doesn’t make sense. Although it did create an exciting atmosphere where you cross your fingers if the ball hits the pin or not.

Apart from motionless stone blocks, there are many ways to make your game even more challenging using lasers, spikes etc. Collision of the ball results an instant death!

Another feature I found really cool was that if the projected bowling ball manages to fall on the slingshot, player gets it back!

Overall, I rate this game 4/5 for it’s fun gameplay and challenging puzzles!
