Name pretty much sums it up: your objective is to shoot alien ships until you explode. There are waves of them coming at you. The longer you live…the stronger they are…obviously.
Controls force player to be as precise as possible as any type of projectile or collision with enemy ship would result in a permanent kill – or losing 1 life.
Tilting a phone to move and tapping screen to shoot is a good combination, although I can’t say that tilting a phone to move player left and right was a good idea due to some difficulties with dodging attacks.
Upon killing a boss you get an opportunity to spend coins on new ships, projectiles and much more!
I also loved the idea of adding various power ups on the way such as shield, rapid fire, double projectiles and even triple projectiles!
Ads are smartly placed. Not as annoying banners, but as video banners which allow you to earn one lives to play longer. A modern replacement of quarters, huh?
Alien Bang Bang features awesome music and beautiful pixel art – something which wasn’t available decades ago, but implemented smoothly into the game!
Overall, I rate this game 5/5! Feeling of nostalgia, sounds and art style will flow through you while playing this game! Controls are not perfect, but not much of a hassle. I would recommend you downloading this game!
